Neurocamp

Inspiring the Next Generation
of Neuroscientists

Neurocamp is an initiative designed to expose students to the field of neurosciencethat otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity to explore the field. Local chapters identify relevant courses based on the location of the school for a more digestive experience.

How it works

How We’re Bridging Gaps for Better Neuro-Opportunites

Our Neurocamp program provides a unique, hyper-relevant experience designed to introduce students to the exciting world of neuroscience. There is a three layered process put in place for pairing chapters with local schools and building the syllabus for the students.

Chapter & School Collaboration

Mission:Brain chapters receive approval from both Mission:Brain and local schools to launch the Neurocamp initiative, focused on gradeschool to high school students.

Specific Curriculum Decision

Chapters and schools work together to design a neuroscience curriculum tailored to the needs of the community, addressing key topics like brain function, mental health, and issues relevant to underrepresented groups.

Regular Classroom Engagement

Program leaders provide regular in-person neuroscience lessons at the school, typically visiting once a week for an hour, helping students explore brain science and gain early exposure to careers in the field.

Actively looking for new participating chapters

There’s immense potential for growth with this mission

Initially launched to address the lack of diversity in neuroscience, the program is currently active in the US and Canada. Many regions, especially underserved communities globally, still lack access to neurosurgical education. Expanding partnerships with local chapters will create more opportunities for future leaders in the field.

Tailored Curriculum for Local Communities
