The Mission:Brain 2026 Hackathon is bringing together innovators, students, and professionals from around the world to tackle some of the most pressing challenges in neurosurgery and global health.

This annual event is a unique opportunity to collaborate across disciplines, develop impactful solutions, and contribute to advancing neurosurgical care on a global scale.

Event Overview

Participants will work individually or in teams to design and pitch innovative solutions across key areas, including:

  • Surgical techniques
  • Medical device development
  • Healthcare systems and patient care
  • Policy and funding models

By addressing these challenges, participants play a direct role in improving access, outcomes, and equity in neurosurgical care worldwide.

Format & Duration

The 2026 Hackathon will take place virtually across two weekends:

  • June 13–14
  • June 19–21

This format allows teams to collaborate, build, and refine their solutions before presenting to a panel of expert judges.
